The Research Internship in Science and Engineering program is a collaborative effort between the Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) and Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU).
About the Program This program is designed for students studying science and engineering, offering them the opportunity to undertake internships at national laboratories, federal research centers, academic research institutes, and private R&D laboratories in the United States. The internship covers airfare, accommodation, and a monthly stipend.
Objective The primary objective of the program is to provide students with international exposure, allowing them to gain practical experience and develop professional skills.
Eligibility To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be an Indian national above 18 years of age.
- Belong to disciplines such as Science, Engineering, Technology, or Medicine.
- Be enrolled at a recognized institution of higher education in India.
Required Documents Applicants must electronically submit the following documents as attachments in a single email:
- Completed Application Form along with a resume.
- Statement from the parent institution endorsing the application (Scanned Copy – PDF Format Only).
- Certificates, degrees, mark-sheets, etc. (Scanned copies – PDF Format Only).
- Two referees must submit completed Reference Forms electronically to internship@indousstf.org or by post to the following address:

Duration The internship duration ranges from a minimum of 3 months to a maximum of 6 months.
